TOPIC #1: Beyond the Tax Deduction: Why DAFs Remain a Go-To Giving Vehicle and How to Start the Conversation with Your Clients
SPEAKERS: Katie Collin and Gina Gurganus
About the presentation: Donor-advised funds held more than $326 billion in charitable assets at the end of 2024 and they continue to grow at a rapid pace. Changes to the charitable deduction that took effect in 2026 have made timing and strategy more important than ever for your clients’ giving. In this practical session, charitable gift planning attorney Katie Collin of the Cleveland Foundation, and Managing Director Gina Gurganus of Clearstead, will discuss why clients who open a DAF for the tax benefits so often keep it for other reasons: simplicity, flexibility with complex assets, family engagement and a lasting legacy. You’ll leave with the life events that signal a client is ready to talk about giving, values-based questions to open the conversation, responses to common objections, and real-world case studies showing how attorneys, wealth managers and other professional advisors can plan together to achive their clients’ philanthropic goals.
About the speakers:

Gina brings expertise in financial planning, estate strategy, tax coordination, and client education. TOPIC #3: The BULL Market in Diversification… Has Started!
SPEAKER: Meb Faber
About the session: For over a decade, US large-cap stocks have dominated nearly every other asset class, but history shows this pattern doesn’t last forever. In this session, Meb Faber (Co-Founder & CIO, Cambria Investment Management) examines the data behind today’s record market concentration, where the “Magnificent Seven” now carry more weight in global indices than entire countries like Japan, the UK, Canada, and China combined, and US household equity allocations sit near all-time highs. Drawing on over a century of market history, Meb explores why elevated valuations and concentrated positioning have historically preceded shifts toward diversification, and what that could mean for portfolios going forward. He’ll also discuss practical, tax-aware strategies for investors holding concentrated stock positions, including Cambria’s 351 ETF Exchange program.
About the speaker: Mr. Faber is the founder and CEO of Cambria Investment Management. Faber is the manager of Cambria’s ETFs and separate accounts. Mr. Faber hosts The Meb Faber Show podcast and has authored numerous leather-bound books. He is a frequent speaker and writer on investment strategies and has been featured in Barron’s, The New York Times, and The New Yorker. Mr. Faber graduated from the University of Virginia with a double major in Engineering Science and Biology.
