About the presentation: Help Your Clients Avoid Common and Costly IRA Pitfalls Nearly 40 percent of household financial wealth in the U.S are retirement assets, with IRAs accounting for the biggest share totaling $9 trillion. With nearly 10,000 baby boomers turning age 65 everyday, more Americans than ever before will be making decisions regarding their IRAs. Unfortunately, navigating the labyrinth of IRA rules and regulations can be complex and a tax trap for the unwary. This presentation will provide a detailed discussion of the most common and costly IRA mistakes people make and how to avoid them. The course will cover mistakes regarding contributions, rollovers, Roth conversions, distributions, RMDs and beneficiary designations. Understanding the IRA rules and how to help clients avoid common and costly mistakes will help you become your clients’ IRA financial professional of choice.

TOPIC #2: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Creating a more welcoming environment for people with less privileged identities
SPEAKER: Travis Walker
About the presentation: Diversity alone does not increase an organizations effectiveness, however, research generally indicates that companies that lead on DEI strategies are likely to emerge stronger, bounce back quicker, and strengthen performance and organizational health. This course will guide you through some of the more important, yet often overlooked, diversity concepts such as bias and inclusion. It will then review why diversity matters to a company’s overall health and bottom line as well as what the attendee can do to help encourage a more successful and diverse workforce.
